Abstract

The integration of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) into Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication networks, underpinned by the emerging 6th generation (6G) wireless technologies, presents transformative possibilities for intelligent transportation systems. However, this integration introduces complex privacy challenges due to the extensive data exchanges and pervasive surveillance capabilities of UAVs. This study explores privacy preservation mechanisms specifically tailored for UAV-integrated V2X-6G networks. We analyze the privacy risks associated with UAVs in these advanced vehicular networks and propose a comprehensive framework that enhances data security and user privacy. we identify the unique attributes of UAV-integrated V2X-6G networks that exacerbate privacy vulnerabilities, such as the increased data capture capabilities of UAVs and the omnipresence of 6G networks that facilitate ubiquitous data transmission. This exploration is followed by an examination of the potential privacy breaches, focusing on unauthorized data access and misuse of sensitive information such as real-time locational data and personal identifiers within the vehicular network.
