Abstract

Physical education (PE) is a critical component of a well-rounded education for all students, including those with special educational needs (SEN). This research paper examines the relevance of physical education in promoting the inclusion of students with SEN and explores the setbacks and achievements that have shaped its evolution throughout history. The paper discusses the importance of PE for students with SEN, historical setbacks that hindered their inclusion, and the progress made over time to create more inclusive physical education environments. By analyzing past challenges and successes, this paper aims to emphasize the significance of an inclusive approach to physical education and shed light on the ongoing efforts to ensure equal opportunities for all students.
